Semi-finalist interviews scheduled
The Presidential Search Committee (PSC) has reached an important milestone in the search for Oglethorpe’s next leader. A select group of 9 semi-finalists have been invited to interview, in person, with the PSC this month. These conversations will give high priority to the areas of interest voiced by all of you.
From these interviews, the PSC will advance three candidates to finalists. A group of Trustees, together with designated faculty, staff, and student representatives will meet the finalists and provide input to the PSC, who will make a final recommendation to the Board of Trustees for their consideration and approval.
Since the search’s September launch, our partners at Diversified Search have identified and approached more than 750 prospects, resulting in 138 applications for the position. The PSC has reviewed and vetted the candidacies of over 62 talented leaders from the education, nonprofit, business, and government sectors to arrive at the 9 semi-finalists. Such a strong pool would not have been possible without the high level of engagement from everyone in the Oglethorpe community who nominated candidates and shared thoughtful reflections on OU’s past, present and future. Thank you for your efforts.
